Good Morning

Love

Abhinav got up at around 11 am. There was still a hangover even though he had slept for over 9 hours . He had slept at around 2 am , after having enjoyed playing the latest games on his new PC . He would rush to the PC after dinner and play until he would be more than satisfied with the number of stages completed, then go off to sleep late and get up late next morning.  Yesterday was no different. His parents had already left for work. Both of them were employed by government organisations.  His father , a  B Com graduate from Delhi University was working for BMC while his mother another B Com graduate from Mumbai university was working with a State bank branch near their house in Vile Parle. The Kulkarni house was  a two bedroom apartment was in one of the most decent societies comprising mostly of Maharashtrians. They had moved into this flat around 6 years ago upgrading from thier one bedroom flat in Dadar , another suburb of Mumbai having a mahrashtrian majority. This factor , a majority of mahrashtrians was primarily responsible for them  for this flat over another 3 bedroom flat in another society which had lesser maharashtrians . Both of Abhinav’s parents were adamant on this factor while selecting a flat while Abhinav never had any such criteria. They wanted their only child to grow in such an environment with will inculcate their marathi tradition and values in him. For him , the make of the house was more important than the religion of the people around. His parents were very happy with this flat and with abhinav being a child that time , he did not have much of a say anyway.

Both of them would leave together on their only vehicle a Bajaj Chetak Scooter which was a very prized possession for his father. The only time his father had tears in his eyes was when he saw this scooter for the first time after a wait of 2 years.  Now , our prince Abhinav gets out of his bed looking out for some Breakfast which is usually made at around 9 am for the whole family but wait before that , he witches on his PC and then heads for breakfast hunting. He suddenly remembers that he was stuck on one of the levels of the game he was playing last night and so decides to complete that stage as soon as possible.

He gets engrossed in the game , this is level 5 the toughest level of this stage and hence more enemies to kill. He is giving it his best , trying to make sure he kills everyone in view with either different strategies , different guns. No luck so far , he gets killed down with just 1 or 2 enemies left. Now he decides  lets just attack brutally without any strategy , he starts killing everyone ,  50 enemies reduce to 40 , he moves ahead , the number comes down to 30 and he is in good health. The Killing continues and now he is just left with 10 enemies and good amount of player health and suddenly it is “Tring Tring”. It takes him a moment to understand that it is indeed his phone ringing and by that disturbance he looses his game again.

With a very bad mood the conversation begins

Abhinav : ” Hello”

His mother :  ” Hello beta ,  you got up ?”

A: “  Yes , why did you call ? “

M: ” To enquire whether you had your breakfast “

Abhinav notices it is half past 12 and he is yet to have his breakfast.

A: ” Yes mom , i had it long back “

M: : ” Did you like it , i had made it in a hurry , we got up late and then i had to rush through the morning to get everything in place. Your dad also did not wake me up as always , there is so much work as well today being a Saturday. I don;t understand why people have to rush banks on Saturday. I…..”

A: ” I will talk to you later mom , bye “

Abhinav curses the phone for not letting him cross the stage and makes his way into the kitchen to get his breakfast. The TV is switched on to go with the breakfast.
